Description

Background
Terrence Fernando is Director of the Think Lab (a futuristic research environment with state-of-the-art facilities) and Director of the Future Workspaces Research Centre at the University of Salford. Professor Fernando has a broad background in conducting multi-disciplinary research programmes involving a large number of research teams in areas such as distributed virtual engineering, driving simulations, and urban simulation. His main recent research focus has been on developing collaborative workspaces for multi-functional teams. Within this context, he has been conducting research to develop flexible collaboration platforms and multi-user interface frameworks for remote teams in engineering and media.
