Velisia

“Velisia – A Traitors Legacy” a computer game developed by students of the BSc (Hons) Computer and Video Games course at The University of Salford.

Velisia is a turn based strategy game modelled after Advance Wars and Final Fantasy Tactics. The story arc involves a small group of patrolling soldiers finding themselves embroiled in an ancient civil war as it sweeps across their homeland, with the player having to use the soldier’s unique abilities to fight a series of enemies as the player works their way through the game.

The game is fully playable and currently has three levels. Further development to increase the game length and to port to multiple formats (PC only at the moment but potential for Xbox indie games + windows mobile formats) is being considered.

Project Status

Student Game Development. Working prototype. Requires further refinement before commercial release. 

Project Needs

The 6 students have registered a company – TC Games Ltd to further develop and market the game commercially, however require investment to finalise and polish the game ready for commercial release. Also seeking advice, expertise and other potential ways to exploit the game and the team’s overall skill (e.g. develop bespoke new games for a commercial partner).
